Docking instructions with pictures

In these instructions you will find all the steps for installation - clearly described and illustrated with supporting pictures.

Take the cuff and open the two Velcro fasteners.
If possible, do not pull the straps out of the plastic eyelets, but they can easily be fed back through the eyelets.

Then slip the cuff over your hand.

If you now move your arm into extension, you will feel the countertraction. Depending on how you vary the settings, the relief will be more or less noticeable. It should only be possible to extend the arm with force.

Correctly applied cuff
When the arm is extended, you will see a bulge between the forearm cuff and the elbow. This shows you that this area is relieved by the tendons and that the cuff is functioning correctly.

You are welcome to use our "right/wrong" pictures for comparison (next chapter on this page).

Vary the settings until you have achieved the optimum position and relief for you. You can adjust the settings at any time to suit the situation (e.g. for activities with a bent arm, such as working at a computer, adjust a little tighter, for other activities loosen a little as required, please also refer to our tips in the following sections.

It is recommended that the Masalo® Cuff MED be worn permanently for the first 14 days and as regularly as possible until the injury has healed, as well as when straining the arm.

Important note:
The arm must not be immobilised with the cuff in place and must not remain in a recovery position; the arm must remain fully mobile and usable and must be moved as normally and as much as possible. Only when the arm is stretched/loaded should a countertraction/resistance be felt.

If you have any problems putting on or wearing the Masalo® Cuff MED, please ask your specialist dealer for advice or contact us at: shop@masalo.eu

Cuff applied, what now?
You must feel a clear relief immediately - within a maximum of 15-30 minutes - otherwise something is wrong.

If the relief does not materialise, adjust the support again correctly or take it off and contact us.

Please do not use the support if you are not sure that you want to keep it. We cannot provide a full refund if the support is used for a longer period of time or shows signs of wear.

Important: The Masalo® sleeve is a very effective support against epicondylitis and develops strong forces. Please only use the support if you have received a well-founded diagnosis of epicondylitis from your doctor.

You can also check the function of the Masalo® cuff yourself with a small test by clicking on the "Function test" button below.

You are also welcome to use our "right/wrong pictures" for comparison (next chapter on this page).

If our cuff helps you, we would be delighted to receive a short testimonial from you or a recommendation to fellow sufferers via Facebook, internet forum etc.

Wearing time
Epicondylitis can take quite a long time to heal completely. For this reason, a wearing period of 4 weeks to 6 months is normal.

The more consistently you wear the support (preferably day and night), the better it supports the healing process.

For this reason, we recommend purchasing a second cuff for changing (after work, sport, washing, etc.), so that you are optimally protected at all times.
