Masalo® cuff function test
This is a small test of the effectiveness of the correctly applied Masalo® Cuff for a lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow) - With a golfer's arm, at least the relief must be clearly noticeable, However, this test is not suitable for golfer's elbow.
How to perform the function test
- place the Masalo® Cuff off
- Take a full 1.5 litre PET bottle
- stretch out your arm and try to lift the bottle - you should feel pain when you do so
- Now put on the support and adjust it slightly tighter for the test (you can loosen the support again at any time, the tighter it is initially adjusted, the more relief you will achieve)
- Now stretch your arm with full force in the opposite direction
- Lift the bottle
- Ideally, the pain on exertion will no longer occur, you will be able to lift the bottle without pain, or the pain on exertion will be significantly reduced.
Please note:
If you can perform this test successfully, the support is effective. You will now need patience to allow your tennis elbow to heal.
